Biografia

Anna Maria Heinreich è nata a Vienna, Austria, dove si è diplomata al HLMW9 Michelbeuern, Wien, frequentando contemporaneamente una scuola di formazione per sartoria femminile.

Ha vissuto per due anni in Francia dove ha studiato arte e letteratura francese. Nel 1976 si è stabilita in Italia dove ha appreso la lingua italiana e ha iniziato il lavoro nel settore del costume collaborando con Lele Luzzati e Santuzza Calì.

La sua attività di costumista negli ultimi decenni si è alternata tra teatro di prosa, opera lirica, cinema e televisione in Europa e Usa collaborando con artisti come Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Peter Stein, Chris Kraus, Klaus Maria Brandauer, Fiona Shaw, Cillian Murphy, Maddalena Crippa, Maurizio Balò.

Ha partecipato a diverse edizioni dei Salzburger Festspiele firmando, fra l’altro, i costumi per l’edizione del 75° Jedermann. Ha preso parte per la Tv francese a Marie Curie e La vie de Chateaubriand, per la televisione italiana ai cortometraggi, Esercizi di stile, regia di Mario Monicelli,e per RAI Sat, a Capitan Cosmo, per il cinema ai film: La Donna della Luna, Lettera da Parigi, Viol@.

Ha collaborato a diverse iniziative di teatro per bambini, sia a livello didattico, sia come costumista del laboratorio Piero Gabrielli. Ha tenuto lezioni per la formazione di costumisti in scuole e accademie specializzate come l’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala.

BIOGRAPHY

Anna Maria Heinreich was born in Vienna, Austria, where she graduated at the HLMW9 Michelbeuern, Vienna, attending at the same time a school for women’s tailoring.

She has lived for two years in France to study French art and literature. Since 1976 she has lived in Italy where she has learnt Italian and begun to work in the field of costume with Lele Luzzati and Santuzza Calì.

In recent decades she has worked as a costume designer in prose, opera, and film productions in Europe, and in U.S. collaborating with artists like, Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Peter Stein, Chris Kraus, Klaus Maria Brandauer, Fiona Shaw, Cillian Murphy, Maddalena Crippa, Maurizio Balò.
She has participated in the Salzburg Festival for years, also as costume-designer of the 75th edition of Everyman.

She has worked for the French TV in Marie Curie and La Vie de Chateaubriand, for the Italian TV in Exercises of Style, directed by Mario Monicelli, and for Rai Sat, in Captain Cosmo. She has signed the costume design of the films The Women of the Moon, Letter from Paris and Viol@.

She has also worked in children’s theatre, both as costume-designer and lecturer in the Laboratorio Piero Gabrielli. She has taught in schools and Academies for costume designers such as the Academia of the Teatro alla Scala.
